Nicole had a training accident in August 2019 and broke her left hand. Surgery forced her to sit out the first half of the season, but she came back strong winning the first 3 races back in a sled. Nicole was able to travel to Europe and compete in her first Europe Cup race. She was also able add the bobsled track in Königssee, Germany, to her sliding experience repertoire.
